The Alium Market Neutral Fund is for investors seeking to diversify into an investment where returns are not correlated with equities or other assets classes. The Fund takes a thematic, global approach to investing both long & short. Focus is given to changing operating conditions & how these may affect the value of individual companies. Particular focus is given to short themes, an area that is less well-researched & that aims to be a major source of alpha for the Fund over time.

EXPERIENCED FUND MANAGERS
Martin Rosser is the Portfolio Manager of the Alium Market Neutral Fund. He has over 23 years of experience in Financial Markets. Following completion of his Economics Degree at Sydney University, Martin began his career at Citibank in Sydney where he worked in Institutional Foreign Exchange and in banking Martin then moved to Fontainebleau, France to study a Master of Business Administration at INSEAD where he graduated with Distinction. He was then recruited by the Institutional Equities Division at Morgan Stanley in London. In London, after 3 years in pan-European Equities sales, Martin was offered a role in the Proprietary Investment group, where he managed portfolios of global equities from 2006 to 2010. Martin then accepted an offer to transfer home to Sydney with Morgan Stanley to establish a panAsian Proprietary Investment business where from 2010 to 2016 he managed market neutral equity portfolios.
Anthony has 13 years experience in financial markets across Australia, HK and London Prior to joining Alium Capital, Anthony ran an Asian Equity Market Neutral book at KIS Capital. From September 2009 (inception) to May 2019, KIS Capital’s Asia Long Short fund returned 11.6% annualised, with a Sharpe Ratio of 1.7 and a Sortino Ratio of 3.3 Prior to KIS Capital, Anthony worked at Morgan Stanley in London covering Hedge Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Long Only Investors on Asian Equities. He was also responsible for the Asian Equity Derivative business in Europe. Prior to moving to London, he headed the JBWere Markets Desk (equity derivatives and fixed income) in Australia. Anthony commenced his career at Goldman Sachs JBWere in Melbourne He is a CFA Charterholder and published author on volatility.
16 years of experience in senior operations and distribution roles in Australia. Tim began his financial services career in 2004 and has worked across a range of asset classes, with responsibility for product development and structuring, marketing and distribution as well as all operational and compliance functions. Tim came to Alium following six years as COO of Watermark Funds Management. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Diploma in Law
